Nortel Networks Alteon Security Manager provides a single point of administration for the Alteon Switched Firewall and other security solutions. It auto-discovers and displays multi-layer security network topologies with corresponding status information. It enables proactive management, problem solving, and capacity planning through comprehensive support for configuration, image/software, fault, and performance management.
Key Features:
- Facilitates time-consuming tasks with configuration management tools, including software/image management, support for device-level configuration tools, and support for third-party application management tools (e.g., Check Point Smart Center and Provider-1)
- Enables proactive problem discovery and analysis through detection and display of faults from multiple devices/clusters
- Delivers detailed network knowledge and performance management through the collection and display of activity/utilization statistics
- Enables secure management of security infrastructure using user access and password information as well as SSL, SSH, and SNMPv3 for secure communication
